for broadcast & media partners

Your shows, your subscribers, your relationship

A branded companion platform for your audience. Live second-screen play during broadcasts, community between them, and subscription revenue that doesn't route through anyone's store cut.

Ratings tell you how many watched. They don't give you a single name. Broadcasters spent decades building audiences that other platforms now own the relationship with. The comment section is on YouTube, the clip is on TikTok, the conversation is on X. The show travels, and the audience data never comes back.

Afanity gives a broadcaster or podcast network its own audience platform. Viewers play along live inside a branded app, keep talking after the credits, and subscribe directly, with every account visible to your side of the table. Producers get a live layer they control from the same admin that runs the content.

This isn't a hypothetical pitch. Floyd Street Media, a podcast and media network, runs its audience platform on Afanity in production today. Their shows, community, and membership live on native apps and web under their own brand, and their audience list belongs to them.

The stakes keep rising because the middle of the funnel keeps thinning. Clip economies reward the platforms that host the clips, not the shows that feed them, and a network's owned-and-operated audience is increasingly the number that advertisers, affiliates, and acquirers ask about first. Building that number takes a destination worth arriving at.

What it looks like in practice

Gamification

Second screen that runs with the broadcast

Live polls, predictions, and quizzes synced to the show. This is the play-along layer that turns passive viewers into participants, and it runs on a platform where you can see and keep every one of them. Your producers open and resolve the moments in real time.

Community / UGC

The between-shows community

Forums, chat, and fan walls where the audience lives between episodes. You host it and you moderate it, instead of watching the conversation scatter across subreddits and group chats you can't see into.

Content

Every show, one feed

Podcasts, video, articles, and clips in one branded feed across iOS, Android, and web. A network can give every show its own space inside the same app, so the whole slate cross-pollinates instead of competing for a social timeline.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship your sales team can prove

Branded segments, sponsored predictions, and in-app placements with real engagement numbers behind them. That's inventory living on your platform rather than someone else's ad exchange, priced on data you can show an advertiser directly.

AI Content Creation

A content desk that keeps pace with the slate

Penni, the built-in AI producer, drafts episode recaps, clip descriptions, and push copy from the shows you're already making. A lean production staff gets a publishing operation that keeps up with a full slate, and your editors stay in the approval seat.

Membership

Membership without the middleman

Paid tiers for superfans, from ad-free feeds to early episodes and members-only shows. The billing relationship is yours, the margin is yours, and no third-party policy change can price you out of your own subscribers.

Questions we hear

How is this different from just having a YouTube channel and a podcast feed?

Those are distribution, and they matter. But they're rented. Afanity is the destination you send that audience to, where you know who they are, can reach all of them every time, and keep the whole subscription relationship.

Can it run live during a broadcast?

Yes. The gamification layer is built for live moments: polls, predictions, and leaderboards that open and resolve in real time while the show airs, run from the same admin your producers already use for content.

We're a podcast network, not a TV broadcaster. Does this fit?

Directly. Shows, episodes, and per-show screens are first-class content types, and a network can give every show its own space inside one branded app. Our first production media tenant is a podcast network.

What about our existing website and CMS?

Afanity can sit alongside them. Its feeds pull from your existing content sources, and many partners phase their audience experience over rather than migrating everything on day one.

How does the sponsorship inventory actually work?

You define branded moments, from sponsored predictions to placement slots in feeds and gameday screens, and the platform reports engagement per moment. Your sales team walks into renewal conversations with numbers instead of impressions math borrowed from somebody else's dashboard.

Can we start with one show instead of the whole network?

Yes, and it's often the right move. Pick the show with the most devoted audience, launch its companion experience, and let the results argue for the rest of the slate. The platform is multi-tenant underneath, so adding shows later is configuration, not a rebuild, and the audience lists stay distinct or shared as you choose.

Who owns the audience data?

You do. Accounts, listening and viewing engagement, and purchase history live in your platform's database and export freely. That's the point of the whole exercise.
